About the Artist
I have always maintained that visual is my first language, it being the most universal vehicle of expression.
As a young child, I developed an insatiable hunger for knowledge and a healthy scepticism of authority, political, and religious hierarchical systems.
My aspiration is to communicate beyond cultural boundaries to a deeper human level. I desire a humanity described through equality, decency, tenderness and love.

In the Studio...
I work at scale to give me room to explore and allow the body's natural maths and rhythm. By freeing the mind of preconceived ideas, I allow myself to think without prejudice. I work with the simplest of materials. On paper - using charcoal, pencil and raw pigment; and on canvas - using raw pigment to mix my own oil paint.
I employ experimental techniques, that I have developed to speed up the drying times . This allows me to work continuously - layering and building an image in translucent colours, constructing forms as three-dimensional inhabitants of a two dimensional canvas.
My aim is a train of thought made flesh ( a corollary corporeal ). I attempt an honest and valid pursuit and hope you are engaged by my contribution.
